Established in 1997, Kuantan Medical Centre (KMC) is a community hospital that provides a comprehensive range of affordable and quality secondary medical and surgical services for the public.

KMC is staffed by an experienced and committed team of specialists’ consultants, clinical support staf and is fully equipped with modern technology to ensure that every patient receives high quality care and safety.

The medical centre has 155 single-bedded rooms, five surgical halls, 12 beds in intensive care units (ICU/HDU), six beds in NICU and 26 clinics offering a comprehensive range of specialist, medical, surgical and emergency services 24 hours a day.

In April 2019, KMC has launched its Catheterization Laboratory (Cathlab). Among the services provided in this laboratory are Coronary Angiogram, Coronary Angioplasty with Balloon and Stentin, Cardiac Catheterization (Left and Right Heart Catheterization), Renal Denervation Insertion of Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump.

KMC covers several other major medical discipline services namely, internal medicine, general surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, orthopaedics, paediatrics, ENT, ophthalmology, urology, plastic surgery and anaesthesiology, reconstructive & gastroenterology, a 24-hour emergency services, laboratory, pharmacy, rehabilitation, diagnostic imaging such as MRI, CT Scan, mammogram, ultrasound and x-ray.
