ADMISSION

Admission to KMI Kuala Terengganu Medical Centre for treatment and/ or surgery is upon the recommendation of the doctor who is attending to you. In order to ensure the smoothness of your registration / admission, we request your assistance to provide us with the following documents:
 
•    MyKad and MyKid for Malaysian citizen; passport if you are not a Malaysian citizen.
•    Health Insurance Card / Letter of Guarantee from your employer or insurance company.
•    A doctor’s referral letter (if you are referred by your GP / family doctor).
•    Past or present medical report / X-ray / MRI / Scan / lab results ( if any ).

Please note that upon admission, you or your guardian will required to fill up the admission forms and our friendly admission officers will advise you on the Deposit needed. You have the right to know the estimated cost of hospitalization as being mentioned in our Patient's Charter. You must verify the estimated cost with your attending doctor.

DISCHARGE

The doctors on his ward rounds will sign your discharge form.  For your safety, it is advised that a relative or friend accompany you home. Check out time is 12.00 noon. For discharge after 12.00 noon, there will be an additional half day room charge. For discharge after 4.00pm, a full day room charge will be imposed. Your bill must be settled in full before you are discharged, if payment is not guaranteed by your company, covered by insurance or prior arrangements have not been made. If you are covered by insurance, please note that the discharge procedure may take up to 3 hours to obtain final approval from your insurance company.
 
Patients paying cash will receive refunds should the deposit be more than the actual expenses incurred.
 
Before you leave, please be sure that you:
•    Collect all your belongings and valuables
•    Obtain all prescribed medication (if any) and ensure that you understand the instructions regarding their use.
•    Get the appointment card from the attending nurse, should there be follow-up treatment

A deposit will be required at the time of admission. The deposit amount will vary depending on the admission cases. In order to help you managing your financial, our estimated deposit amount will be as follows:

  • Additonal deposit is required when the charges amount is more than the deposit paid.
  • Procedure or operation will be carried out upon clearance of Guarantee Letter (GL) or sufficient deposit received.

Terms of Payment

We accept Cash, Panel Guarantee Letter, Debit and Credit Card. We regret to inform you that personal cheques are NOT accepted. 

However, we accept all the following credit cards and debit cards.

Ward Visiting Hours

All visitors are welcome to visits their relatives and friends. It is our responsibility to ensure that patients receive maximum rest during their stay and treatment at our hospital.   

Visitors with small children are strongly reminded to keep their children safe and does not disturb the privacy of other patients.  

Visitors must observe the following visiting hours: 10.00 am - 7.00 pm.
