Green Pink Health Carnival 2023 -Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Mental Health Awareness Day

KUALA LUMPUR, 29th October 2023- KMI Taman Desa Medical Centre is pleased to be the co-organiser of today's event-Green Pink Health Carnival -3km Walkathon, in collaboration with Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia, Taman Desa Residents Association (TDRA), National Cancer Society of Malaysia, Majlis Perwakilan Penduduk Zon Seputeh, and Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur. The event is also supported by Pejabat Parlimen Seputeh and Polis Diraja Malaysia.

Puan Norliza Razali, General Manager of KMI Taman Desa Medical Centre is one of the invited VIPs to flag off the 3km Walkathon today along with:

Dr. Thurkadevi Munikanan, Consultant Psychiatrist of KMI Taman Desa Medical Centre has been invited as one of the speakers to share about the importance of Mental Health Awareness. 

KMI Taman Desa Medical Centre also provided Free Health Screening with blood taking procedure and result reviews on the same day of event today. A big thank you to Dr. Wong Woei Tung,  the emergency unit team and medical laboratory team for their wonderful work and committment for the event today.

Not forgetting our Physiotherapy team, led by En. Khairul Azhar Ariffin and team, that provide post cancer exercises guidelines to our participants.

Big thank you to Our Dietitian, Aina Syairah Abdul Rahman and operator Roszita for their participation in the food stall today.

Raising awareness about the importance of breast screening and mental health in the community with the objectives to reduce the statistics of late detection of breast cancer and also to reduce the late diagnosis of mental health issues among our friends and family.
