KMI Kuala Terengganu Medical Centre (KMI Kuala Terengganu) proudly announces a major achievement in the healthcare industry after being awarded the Industry Excellence Awards (AKI) 2024.

AKI is an annual national-level award aimed at recognizing the contribution of industries to the country's economic development. The prestigious event was also attended by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, and Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul bin Tengku Abdul Aziz, Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry Malaysia.

The Industry Excellence Awards are a significant recognition by the Malaysian Government designed to recognizes companies that demonstrate excellence in their respective sectors. Winning this award strengthens KMI Kuala Terengganu Medical Centre's dedication to setting the highest standards in healthcare services and its ongoing mission to enhance patient care and operational excellence.

This prestigious recognition from the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry (MITI) marks an extraordinary achievement for KMI Kuala Terengganu Medical Centre in providing high-quality and innovative healthcare services to the community.

The evaluation for AKI 2024 is based on the Malaysian Business Excellence Framework (MBEF), an internationally recognized evaluation framework used to promote global best practices in business excellence.

KMI Kuala Terengganu was highlighted for its excellent healthcare services, innovative management practices, and its role in advancing the healthcare industry in Malaysia.

Representing Puan Salina Long, General Manager of KMI Kuala Terengganu, were Encik Burhanuddin Hilmi Mohamed@Harun (President & Chief Executive Officer of Terengganu Inc), Tuan Haji Najman Kamaruddin (Executive Director of TDM Berhad), Dr. Rayney Azmi Ali (Chief Executive Officer of KMI Healthcare), and Cik Nurfarahayu Yusof (Head of Marketing and Sales Department of KMI Kuala Terengganu) who attended the ceremony to receive the prestigious award.
